The Friends of the Brainerd Public Library will hold their Big Fall Book Sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, Sept. 14-17, at the Westgate Mall in Brainerd/Baxter.

The sale location is in the former MarJon’s store space, and access will be through the service door on the front (south) side of the mall, to the right of the large JoAnn sign. Look for the large “Book Sale” sign on the door.

To protect the safety of shoppers and volunteers, face masks are requested for those who have not yet been fully vaccinated. Occupancy will be limited to 20 shoppers at a time, but appointments will not be required.

Most books for adults are priced at 50 cents, and premium books - those that were published in the last few years - are priced individually. Books for children and young adults are 25 cents each. DVDs and CDs, along with puzzles and rare books, will also be available for purchase.

As it is the Friends’ mission to get the best books into the hands of community readers, commercial sellers will be limited to the second day of semi-annual sales or after, effective immediately.

Donations are not accepted at the Brainerd Public Library at this time.

All funds raised by this 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer organization go toward supporting programming and materials at the Brainerd Public Library, such as the children’s Summer Reading Program and the Brown Bag Lunch Author Series.
