The newly released book about the 1969 Outing F4 tornado, written by Sue Dugan Moline, became an Amazon best-seller in two categories its first week on the market.

"The Lake Turned Upside Down - the Story of Unthinkable Tragedy and Incredible Survival in the 1969 Outing, Minnesota F4 Tornado," ranked No. 42 in Christian Inspirational and No. 84 in Historical Biographies, just ahead of "Paul: A Biography" and Barack Obama’s audio book, "A Promised Land."

“This is the most amazing tornado story you'll ever read, about the deadliest tornado in northern Minnesota history," a news release said. "The National Weather Service called it the Northwoods Tornado Outbreak. The author calls it a miracle that anyone lived, as the cabin she was in with 17 occupants was picked up and blown into deep Roosevelt Lake. This untold true story is reconstructed 50 years later from over 100 eyewitnesses and historical documents. A must read for tornado and weather buffs, and also an inspirational human story."
