The Pine River Public Library is preparing to close out 2020 and get ready for 2021.

Entering 2021, the library will continue to offer only contactless pickup services. Patrons may request materials online using the Kitchigami catalog at www.krls.org or by calling or emailing the library. Library staff can assist with book selections and set up a time for patrons to pick them up.

The library will operate under regular business hours, including Saturdays starting in January.

To start the new year, the library will host a winter reading program for adult patrons. The Snow Time to Read program is open to ages 18 and older and will be eight weeks long, from Monday, Jan. 4, through Saturday, Feb. 27.

Patrons will have an opportunity to earn a mug by reading and reporting 10 books read. Books may be reported by either turning in a reading log or registering your reading progress on the new online program. To use the online program, contact the library, visit the library Facebook page or the Kitchigami Library website.
