Comedian Mack to perform Saturday in Pequot Lakes
See comedian, musician and writer Mary Mack perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Pequot Lakes High School Auditorium as part of the Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts season.
Mack's endearing, slightly quirky stage presence and musical surprises make her popular with a wide range of people. With her mandolin in hand and off-kilter stories of life as a former polka band leader, music teacher and all-around confused individual, Mack delivers a performance that is sure to make you laugh.
Mack's mandolin sing-alongs have been featured on national radio and television, including appearances on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and NBC's Last Comic Standing. After starting her entertainment career in Nashville, Mack currently tours the country in her $400 Dodge Neon with her mandolin in hand.
Splitting the rest of her time between Los Angeles and Minneapolis, she shares her fun and unique brand of stand-up comedy.
Mack's comedy (spotted with occasional mandolin or clarinet outbursts) has been seen in the Vancouver Comedy Fest, The Andy Kaufman Awards, Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival and the San Francisco Sketch Fest as one of "The Dozen" up-and-coming headliners designated by the festival. She had her national TV debut on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and NBC's Last Comic Standing.
