Cross-Country: Chaney sisters help Patriots place 6th
Calia Chaney finished fourth and Carly Chaney finished fifth for the Patriots.
Pequot Lakes’ Calia Chaney finished fourth in 19:49.5 and her sister, Carly, was fifth in 19:51.2 to pace the Patriots to sixth-place finish at the Lucky Lindy cross country invitational Thursday, Sept. 16, in Little Falls.
Alexandria won the girls’ title while Cold Spring Rocori was second.
In the boys’ event, Pequot Lakes’ Jesse Clausen finished ninth in 17:24.8 to help the Patriots place eighth. Bemidji won the boys’ title while St. Cloud Cathedral was second.
Pequot Lakes, which competed at Melrose Tuesday, Sept. 21, is scheduled to compete at the Milaca Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25.
