Wine and Words brunch to benefit Brainerd Public Library

The Friends of The Brainerd Public Library announces a Wine and Words brunch event that will take place starting at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa.

The Friends of The Brainerd Public Library announces a Wine and Words brunch event that will take place starting at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa.

The event features presentations by award-winning authors including Liam Callanan, Heather Gudenkauf, Matt Goldman, William Kent Krueger, J. Courtney Sullivan and Lorna Landvik. There will be a social hour and silent auction starting at 10:30 a.m. A sit-down brunch will take place during the presentations starting at 11:30 a.m. Book signings will follow the presentations.

Tickets for the event are sold individually or tables of 8, 9, and 10 seats are available at a discounted rate. Brunch tickets are $35 for individuals and can be purchased at the Brainerd Public Library or online at www.wineandwordsandfriends.com . Reserve tickets now, as will sell out quickly.

Proceeds for the event benefit the Brainerd Public Library's programming and outreach efforts to the community. Funds raised have provided writers workshops, children's reading hour, teen programming, author events, classes for adults and children, senior programs, art workshops, Book Club in a Bag, additional copies of bestselling books and more.
