Virtual shoreland open house scheduled

Kristie Roedl, the WAPOA Shoreland Management Director, will be holding a Zoom meeting for the public on Saturday, June 13, starting at 10 a.m to provide answers on how to restore your shoreland, add buffer zones, and reduce fertilizers and phosphorus from going into lakes.

Local vendors will be available to discuss their shoreland restoration ideas. Property owners that completed projects last year will be available to review their projects and answer questions you might have. The goal of the open house is to educate people on how they can purchase their own soil erosion blanket, plant native flowers and help improve water quality.

All participant names will be put in a drawing for gift certificates from three restaurants in the Cross Lake area.

Contact Kristie at kristieplummerroedl@gmail.com for more information and to register for this meeting. You will be sent an email and you will just need to click on the link in the email to access the meeting.
