Crosslake Communications and Emily Cooperative Telephone Co. announce the return of their monthly technology seminars.
The first seminars include:
Jan. 11: CommandIQ, a new Wi-Fi app to protect devices and parental controls.
Feb. 8: Wi-Fi 101 - Learn the ins and outs of Wi-Fi.
March 8: Streaming Devices and Smart Homes.
The first seminar will begin at 10 a.m. at the Crosslake Community Center. It is free.
Those who attend will learn about the company’s new Wi-Fi app, CommandIQ, that will provide a remote control for home Wi-Fi. Demonstrations of many of the app’s tools will be given, including:
- How to limit specific websites and apps for specific people or devices on a home network.
- Prioritize and control bandwidth.
- Perform a speed test.
- Check Wi-Fi signal strength on each device connected to a home.
- Create and edit Wi-Fi networks for guests and family members.
