SWCD to host tree, plant sale open house Jan. 24

The annual Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District tree sale pre-order open house will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, in meeting rooms one or two, next door to the SWCD office in the Crow Wing County Land Services Building, 322 Laurel St., Brainerd.

Open house schedule and features:

  • 9 a.m.-2 p.m.: Displays and information by Brock White, Crow Wing County, Department of Natural Resources Forestry, Master Gardeners, Pine River Watershed Alliance, Our Mississippi Our Future and more.
  • 11 and 11:30 a.m.: Presentations.
  • Chance to win a 2019 plat book, native flower seeds, photo prints or a SWCD hat.
  • Drawing for $100 gift certificate to for SWCD products or technical services.
  • Explore different county, state and federal conservation programs and grant opportunities.
  • Save money.
  • Refreshments and snacks.

Visit the SWCD website to order online at www.crowwingswcd.org. There are also pictures and descriptions of the trees, plants and seed mixes.
The deadline for ordering is Friday, Feb. 28, or until sold out. Crow Wing SWCD accepts cash, check and credit card payments for orders.

Plants, trees and seeds must be picked up from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 7, or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 8.
