The Brainerd Lakes Area Community Foundation is sponsoring The State of The Lakes Area event from 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 11, at the Crosslake Community Center pavilion.
This event is for seasonal residents to hear from several key organizations first-hand about key developments and what’s happening in the Crosslake area. Year-round residents may also attend.
The event will be free but advance registration is requested as seating is limited. Early registration is recommended. Local leaders from key organizations will present topics of interest and will include: the National Loon Center on its progress; Whitefish Area Property Owners Association on the health of area lakes; Crosslake Chamber’s seasonal events; local health care services; Lakes Area Music Festival details about the upcoming summer concert series and the new performing arts center at Brainerd High School; Crosslake Cares; and the community center’s amenities.
Karl Samp from BLACF will share information on charitable giving opportunities and how BLACF is strengthening the community.
A similar event will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Gull Lake Sailing School.
