Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union will offer a senior fraud prevention course called “Stopping Scams and Staying Safe” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, virtually via Zoom.

Pre-registration is required. The course is free.

Participants will learn how to recognize the most common forms of fraud and the tactics aimed at seniors and others from experts at Lutheran Social Services, a partner of Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union in providing financial education for one’s financial well-being.

They will learn how to respond assertively to the pressures of phone and online con artists, and know where and how to report fraud. This information is essential for older adults and their loved ones, but valuable for all ages.
