The 23rd annual Grandpa’s Run for the Walleye will take place in a virtual setting this summer.

Runners can complete the course between July 4 and July 12. The 5K run/walk can be done by starting a run at the Crosslake Community - with the course marked with arrows on the pavement - or runners can complete a 5K run anywhere they choose to observe social distancing guidelines.

Families are encouraged to include their children. Strollers and dogs are welcome.

Competitors should run or walk at least 5 kilometers (3.1 miles), keep track of their time and submit it via the registration website at https://runsignup.com/Race/MN/Crosslake/RunfortheWalleye. Results will be available via link on the registration website after July 12.

The registration fee is $25 per entrant. Proceeds will benefit the area’s food shelves.
