Book sales

The Pequot Lakes Community Library will host a book sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 2 and 3, at the library. A presale event for Friends of the Library (anyone who donates $20 or more) will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at the library.

The Crosslake Area Library will host a book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 2-3, at the Crosslake Community Center.

The "Hook, Line and Books" summer reading program is offered through Aug. 13 to children who have completed grades 1-6. Contact the library at 218-692-7323 or visit www.cityofcrosslake.org/library .

Art exhibit, sale

Lakes Area Artists will host their annual exhibit and sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 2 and 3, at the Live Well at the Journey Church in Nisswa. Admission is free.
