The Crosslake Area Historical Society will host Candace Simar, a Pequot Lakes author with a passion for her Scandinavian heritage and a deep love of history, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, in the Learning Livery building at the Crosslake Historic Log Village.
