Pine River Public Library moves into phase 3 reopening

EchoJournalNEWS.JPG

The Pine River Public Library moved into phase 3 of its reopening schedule Monday, June 20, which includes the current contactless services, along with public computer use, printing, faxing and photocopying services by appointment.

The library will continue to operate on an adjusted schedule for now. The additional public services and contactless pickup is available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Upon entering the building, patrons must use hand sanitizer (provided by the library) and follow social distancing guidelines.

There will be two computers available to the public by appointment. Appointments will be limited to 20 minutes. Keyboards and work surfaces will be disinfected between patron appointments. Patrons will be allowed no more than two 20-minute computer sessions per day. Patrons must leave the library between sessions while staff disinfects the work space.

Arriving late for your appointment will result in forfeiting that time. With the new appointment process patrons will not be allowed to extend their time. Leaving the library before your session has ended will result in forfeiting the remaining time; no re-entry will be allowed. Last appointment time will be 2 p.m. daily.

Staff has set up counter space at the circulation desk for photocopying and faxing services. The library will only accept cash or check and exact change is preferred when paying for those services.

Frequently touched surfaces and restrooms will be disinfected after use and at regularly scheduled intervals by the staff.

With additional services being added and contactless pickup services continuing, the library asks patrons to be mindful of physical distancing guidelines. Only one person is allowed in the entry of the library at a time.

Those entering the library are also asked to wear a facial covering. Cooperation from all patrons will be helpful in the re-opening of more library services.

For more information about the additional services, contact the library at 218-587-4639 or pineriver@krls.org.
