The Pine River Chamber of Commerce celebrated the success of the annual Wine, Beer and Spirits event by donating $8,000 of the proceeds to the Pine Ridge Cemetery.
The Pine Ridge Cemetery has been suffering hardships, like many cemeteries, over a decline in plot sales and increase in maintenance costs. The cemetery board issued a thank you card to the chamber and indicated they will determine exactly what the donation will fund at their next meeting.
