Pine River-Backus announces homecoming candidates

This year's theme is "Sunny days, chasin the clouds away."

Pine River-Backus Homecoming candidates for 2021 are Caleb Ruhl back row from left, Brady Bristow, Cody Deplazes, Connor Tulenchik, Jake Milk and Lauren Penkhus (front row from left) Tiara Crannell, Claire Dahl, Haley Smude and Chloe Andrus. At 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8 they will compete for king, queen, prince and princess.

Leading up to coronation there will be a 7:30 p.m., Oct. 5 drive-in movie night open to the public. This year's showing will be Shrek. In case of inclement weather, the show will be moved indoors in the commons.

This year's homecoming theme is "Sunny Days, chasin the clouds away."
