Pine River area school history on exhibit until Sept. 24

Event showcases history from Pine River and area schools

The Heritage Group North: Lost Pine River's Celebration of Schools historical exhibit will be available at the Pine River Railway Depot from 2:30-4:30 p.m. every Friday starting Friday, July 23 and concluding Friday, Sept. 24.

Exhibits cover a range of topics from the Pine River school to the Backus School, their merger and many school houses throughout the area.

Travis Grimler began work at the Echo Journal Jan. 2 of 2013 while the publication was still split in two as the Pine River Journal and Lake Country Echo. He is a full time reporter/photographer/videographer for the paper and operates primarily out of the northern stretch of the coverage area (Hackensack to Jenkins).
