The Pequot Parents for Kindness - a group focusing on inclusion, equity and diversity in Pequot Lakes schools and surrounding communities - will host a "community connection" event, complete with ice cream floats, from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, at Sibley Park.
Organizers say this will be a laid-back event “for lakes area family and friends” to come and learn about the group's goals and opportunities to become more involved.
