Pequot Lakes Community Education offers yoga class

Social distancing and masks will be used during class

Pequot Lakes Community Education offers Fusion Yoga classes from 6-7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, Jan. 18-March 11, in the Eagle View Elementary School upper gym.

Fusion Yoga is a combination of traditional yoga with other forms of fitness like resistance training. The format still focuses on balance and flexibility while providing strength and aerobic exercise.

Participants should bring a yoga mat, a light set of dumbbells and a water bottle. They should also wear flexible clothing. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Instructor is Jessica Waytashek. Cost is $64 for eight classes or $112 for 16 classes.

Nancy Vogt is editor of the Pineandlakes Echo Journal, a weekly newspaper that covers eight communities in the Pequot Lakes-Pine River areas - from Nisswa to Hackensack and Pequot Lakes to Crosslake.
