Pequot Lakes Community Education offers the following upcoming classes. Register online at isd186.org or call 218-568-9200.

• Water Aerobics: 5-6:15 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, Sept. 10-Dec. 6 (no class Oct. 18 or Nov. 22), Breezy Point High Village Pool. Fee: $48 for 12 sessions or $5 each.

Instructor Edie Heim will guide students in improving muscle tone, flexibility, coordination and circulation through water-resistance exercises. Participants should bring a pair of "wet bells," swimsuit and towel.

• Tae Kwon Do: Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting at various times and lasting 45 minutes at Total Tae Kwon Do, Pequot Lakes. Fee: $50/month/person.

Tae kwon do incorporates the techniques of kicking, punching and blocking and is a workout for the mind as well as the body, focusing on physical and mental fitness, self-defense and self-discipline. Develop strength, stamina and flexibility in classes tailored to each individual student to promote a fun, healthy workout in a friendly, encouraging and safe environment.

• Beginning Meal Prep: 6-7 p.m. Tuesdays, Sept. 11 and 18, Pequot Lakes High School Room K114. Fee: $20.

This class is designed to teach students to make quick and easy meals on busy nights and to get out of meal ruts. Students will learn meal prep methods that work for them, and resources for healthy and efficient shopping, recipes, recipe conversions, portion controls and time management among other skills. Sample meal plans with grocery lists will be provided to take home.

Instructor is Jessica Waytashek, lifestyle coach with the National Diabetes Prevention Program.

• Swimming lessons: Start times range from 3-6:30 p.m. Monday or Wednesday with sessions starting Monday, Sept. 10, and Wednesday, Sept 12, at the AmericInn, Jenkins/Pequot Lakes. Fee: $48.

There are still open slots in some swimming lessons at the AmericInn.
