60 years ago, Sept. 9, 1960

(Headline) Wayne DesHayes, Emily resident, died of gunshot wounds; services held Tues.

Sheriff's officers were called to Emily shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday along with the county coroner after DesHayes' body was found in the yard of a friend; a .308 caliber rifle was found near the body.

50 years ago, Sept. 10, 1970

Notices of Pine River School closings and other school emergencies will be broadcast again this year over WCCO Radio, KLIZ Radio and KNMT TV Walker.
