60 years ago, March 31, 1961

Contrary to their usual procedure of extinguishing fires, members of the Pine River Fire Department chose to set one Wednesday evening in the village and did just as fine a job with their burning as they always do when they are called on to put one out.

Galen Filsmeyer and Steve Patton will sing and play guitars on the Slim Acres program on Saturday, noon, April 1 on Channel 7.
