A member of the newly formed Cass County Snow Patrol is credited with the apprehension of one of Minnesota’s most famous burglars, Billy Boy Lyon, when he became suspicious and did a little checking Monday morning.


Members of the Pine River and Backus school boards met on Monday evening in the library of the Pine River school to discuss the possibilities and advantages of a possible consolidation of the districts.
