Nisswa Women's Club to meet May 20

Speaker will address COVID-19's impact on classrooms

The Nisswa Women's Club will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20, online via Zoom.

The Brainerd School District assistant superintendent will speak on the topic, “Has COVID Changed the Classroom Forever?”

Heidi Hahn will share strategies the schools implemented to educate young people throughout the past 18 months and offer insights regarding changes that may prove helpful in the future.

The club will announce recipients of the four $1,500 college scholarships that the club is giving to graduating seniors. Three scholarships will be awarded to Brainerd seniors, and a Pequot Lakes student will receive the fourth.

Lois Kunitz will lead an inspiration and Karen DeVries, president, will conduct a short business meeting before introducing Hahn’s presentation.
