The Nisswa Lions Club is conducting a diaper drive during January as a service project.

There are several ways to participate or donate to this cause. The Lions will host an event from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Pickle Factory in Nisswa, where the cost to attend the event is a bag or box of children’s diapers.

Diapers will be available to purchase. Spirits of Nisswa will provide beer and wine tasting, and Rafferty's Pizza will provide pizza.

Those who can’t attend the event but who would like to contribute to the diaper drive can drop off donated diapers at any of the following locations: The Dock Panther in Nisswa Square, downtown Nisswa; The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes on Hazelwood Drive in Nisswa; BlackRidgeBANK locations in Nisswa (downtown and Schaefer’s Foods branch); or at Keller Williams/Joe Laudenbach’s office in Baxter.

The event and donations will help the Mid Minnesota Women’s Center and Lakes Area Pregnancy Support Center by providing diapers for children.
