The Nisswa Chamber of Commerce is delaying its annual Turtle Races to maintain event integrity in keeping with Minnesota’s social distancing guidelines.
In the meantime, the chamber will host the Turtle Trek Scavenger Hunt. This will provide a way to experience downtown Nisswa, enjoy the outdoors, support local businesses and continue the city's turtle traditions.
Downtown Nisswa Chamber members have the opportunity to place turtles with their business logo in windows or doors at their locations. In teams, Turtle Trekkers will search for businesses based on the clues the business provides to the Nisswa Chamber. When they locate the business, they will take photos of the turtle logo, tag the Facebook page and collect as many as they can to compete for a grand prize.
