In an effort to draw people into Pequot Lakes during a time that’s been slow for businesses because of the COVID-19 situation, a Merchants and Friends Garage Sale will take place Friday, June 19, starting at 8:30 a.m. throughout Pequot Lakes.

The event will include 20 local merchants and friends, a news release said.

“Let’s give them some stuff that’s reasonable and make it a fun day,” said Cathy Malecha, owner of Timeless Appeal.

Merchants will let people use space in front of their businesses for free to sell items. To reserve a space, call Malecha by Thursday, June 18, at 218-568-5700 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Participating merchants include Weise Crafts & Variety, Faith Boost, Fun Sisters, Asian Accents, The Wild Daisy, Celtic Cottage, Seeds of Sommer, Latte Da Coffee and Gifts, Twin Pines Trading Post, It’s a Wing Ding Thing, Flour Sack Antiques, S’Antiques, Rustica Design Studio, Expressions Shoe Center, Red Ruby Art Gallery and Gifts, Leslie’s, The Olde Clock Shop, Schott’s Shanty Boutique and Timeless Appeal.
