The Breezy Point Area Women’s Club is formed, meeting at the Breezy Point Village Hall.

Pine River High School announces its winter class offerings, including Shorthand II, Investment and Borrowing, Wave Motion Physics and various home economics classes.

40 years ago, Nov. 4, 1982

Fred Bieber is elected mayor of Crosslake.

The Pequot Lakes football team beats Northland Remer 28-6, breaking a 17-game losing streak.

25 years ago, Nov. 6, 1997

The Pequot Lakes boys cross-country team is named the Minnesota State Class A Academic Champions.

The Pine River-Backus volleyball team falls to Bertha-Hewitt in the section finals, finishing with a record of 24-4.

The Pequot Lakes School District enters an alpine and Nordic ski co-op with Brainerd.
