30 years ago, May 30, 1991

Crosslake Lumber Company celebrates its 50th anniversary. The company was purchased in 1940 by Homer Fraser.

Senior Eric Peterson became the first Pequot Lakes High School boys golfer to qualify for the state meet after finishing third at the Region 6A meet.

An electrical fire scorched the Crosslake Lutheran Church on Memorial Day. Dee Stone called 911 while her husband Jack used a garden hose to put out the fire.

10 years ago, May 26, 2011

Seniors Catie Burkhead, Natasha Gallett and Taylor White are named co-valedictorians for the 2011 Pequot Lakes graduating class. All three maintained a GPA of 4.0.

Pequot Lakes freshman Vanessa Lane set a school record in the 200-meter dash, with a time of 26.3 seconds.
