40 years ago, June 25, 1981

Henry Ordemann set a course record by completing 130 holes of golf June 22 at the Breezy Point Golf Course. The 64-year-old Richfield man is a regular weekend guest of the lakes area. He spent around 15 hours on the course.

30 years ago, June 27, 1991

Connie Hartwig, Army specialist and Desert Storm veteran, will lead the Fourth of July parades in Pequot Lakes and Nisswa.

The Pequot Lakes School Board bid farewell to longtime board members Eugene Kennedy and Dick Rezenka.

20 years ago, June 28, 2001

Removal of the projectors marked the official closing of the old Pequot Lakes theater.

Roger Rager of Pequot Lakes won the Sprint Car Masters Classic for the second time in three years.

The Pequot Lakes girls golf team finished fourth at the Class 2A state meet, led by Savannah Stone with a score of 83.

Heather Neznik and Chad Misener were announced as the newest members of the Pequot Lakes High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
