More than 100 people attend a Sunday picnic in Jenkins sponsored by Mayor Hofus and the Jenkins Boosters Club. Games, prizes and a variety show were available at the event.

Lake Sibley is announced as the host of a 3.5-mile canoe race as a part of Canoe Derby Days.

Jewelry totaling $1,600 is stolen from Kim’s Jewelry in the Jack Pine Center.
