Kitchigami Mobile Library resumes service to Hackensack, Backus, Nisswa

As of Tuesday, March 2, the Kitchigami Mobile Library resumed service.

The spring schedule for March through June is available to view at the mobile library, at local library buildings and at http://www.krls.org/.

Masks must still be worn while inside the Kitchigami Regional Library System Bookmobile. Only one household will be allowed inside at a time.

Local dates include:

  • Hackensack: 1-2 p.m. the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at First and Whipple streets near the city park.
  • Backus: 9:30-11 a.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at Foothills Christian Academy.
  • Nisswa: 2:15-3:45 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at Nisswa Elementary School.
Nancy Vogt is editor of the Pineandlakes Echo Journal, a weekly newspaper that covers eight communities in the Pequot Lakes-Pine River areas - from Nisswa to Hackensack and Pequot Lakes to Crosslake.

She started as editor of the Lake Country Echo in July 2006, and continued in that role when the Lake Country Echo and the Pine River Journal combined in September 2013 to become the Pineandlakes Echo Journal. She worked for the Brainerd Dispatch from 1992-2006 in various roles.

She covers Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Lake Shore and Crosslake city councils, as well as writes feature stories, news stories and personal columns (Vogt's Notes). She also takes photos at community events.
