The Nisswa Women’s Club will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 15, virtually on Zoom.

The program is “Hunger and Solutions in our Area.” Shawn Hansen, executive director of the Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes in Nisswa, is the guest speaker. Hansen will talk about the program and what effects the pandemic has had on funding and food distribution programs in the Brainerd lakes area.

Becky Stover will present the inspiration, and Karen DeVries, president, will lead a short meeting. Donations will be encouraged for the food shelf, one of the philanthropies that the club supports.

During the pandemic last year, members raised $3,380 for the food shelf, and they hope to support the program as generously in 2021.

The program will be on Zoom. Guests are welcome. Participants should contact Claudia Allene, membership chairperson, at 218-513-8922 for information. Additional club information is available at www.nisswawomensclub.org or on Facebook.
