(Headline) Elias Haaland wins jalopy guessing contest

Mr. Haaland guessed the old jalopy would break through the ice at 2:45 p.m. on March 27, which turned out to be the exact time.

The Mule Lake Store on Highway 84 northeast of Pine River, owned and operated for the past several years by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Smisek, has been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hermanson, of Halstad, Minnesota.
