The school boards of Pine River and Backus agree to pair their respective districts, effective next year. Within two years, the two schools may become one.

The Pequot Lakes School Board approves the pairing with Pine River and Backus for wrestling.

A Nisswa community library may be the outcome of a unique partnership between a private donor, the city of Nisswa and the Brainerd School District.

Pequot Lakes High School senior Renee Kardell is crowned Miss Nisswa 2010. Taylor Headlee and Haley Dunlap are named first and second princess, respectively, and Ashley Zimmerman is crowned Miss Congeniality.

Pequot Lakes coaches and brother/sister combination Bret Sergent and Monica Sergent were honored by the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association for 25 years of coaching.
