The 2021 Whitefish Chain Yacht Club fall dinner was held Sunday, Sept. 19, at Maucieri’s Italian Bistro in Crosslake.

Members and guests were anxious to gather once again and rejoin old friends at this annual event. Due to COVID-19 restrictions last year, the spring and fall dinners were not held.

This year, swimming classes, youth boating classes and Women at the Helm classes were full.

“The demand shows just how important these classes are to our community,” Bonnie Coffey, commodore, said in a news release. “Our mission has been safety on the water for almost 70 years and the WCYC is committed to this goal, thanks to the members, business support and volunteers who make sure we can continue our mission."

Board member Lindal Randall did the fall dinner planning along with Dawn Maucieri and her staff. Recognition also goes to Frank and Sharon Cserpes, celebrating their 62th wedding anniversary and never missing a WCYC dinner in its history.
