Riverwood Bank was selected as the people's choice first place winner in the annual Crosslake Days Chili Cookoff on Saturday, Sept. 25 in Crosslake. Coming in second was Changing Strides Therapy with third place going to the US Army Corps of Engineers/Crosslake Campground. Judges choice went to repeat winners Andy's Bar and Grill with second going to Zorbaz and third at Outlet Recreation.

Chili was a perfect treat for a day that fluctuated between brisk and warm. The cook-off was only one of several contests. After just two clues, Bill Leaden found the lost chilli pepper near Ace Hardware.

There was also the second annual Knights of Columbus cornhole tournament, won by Roger Iskerka and Will Backe with Jay Reddemann and Tyler Holliday coming in second and Sandy Schwartz and Jeff Bar bringing up third place.

At the same time, yet another tournament was taking place on the community pickleball courts. Melissa Genereaux and Mike Haglund took first place in the novice category with Linda Rasmussen and Bill Perkl in second and Gary Patrick and Karla Fredrickson in third.

Sherry Hill and Phil McDonald came in on top of the intermediate/advanced level. with second place going to Saur and Whalen. Tad Sonneman and Liz Rave won third.

In the Advanced division Dick Burns and Maureen Dolan took first with Jean Caouette and Patrick Schmitz in second and Chris Pajaka nd Kim Ebert taking third.
