The annual Antique Snowmobile Rendezvous had to be canceled this year due to COVID-19, but that did stop some of the events regulars from coming to the area for a joyride.

Initially scheduled for the Friday, Jan. 15, weekend, the Rendezvous was canceled by the Pequot Lakes Brush Pilots because of pandemic-related restrictions. However, roughly 50 people showed up anyway and simply went for a ride across the lakes area.

Participants came from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa.

“They came to enjoy the hospitality of our community from all the years they have come to our event,” event organizer Dave Guenther said. “They wanted to give back in many ways and reunite with many great friends they have met here over the years.”
