Master Gardener Jennifer Knutson will present “The Biblically Inspired Garden” at noon Tuesday, Dec. 8, online via Zoom through the Brainerd Public Library.

Gardens are often thought of as spiritual places that nourish our hearts and souls. Creating an area in a garden for prayer, mediation or as a memorial to a loved one or beloved pet is a way to provide a peaceful place for contemplation and reflection. Elements of a prayer or meditation garden will be presented for a biblically inspired garden, including plants with heavenly names.

Register for this free Zoom webinar by calling the library at 218-829-5574 or registering online at tinyurl.com/CWCgarden. The Zoom link will be sent in a confirmation email after registration.

Free Master Gardener classes through the University of Minnesota Extension Crow Wing County Master Gardeners will take place through December. Monthly presentations facilitated by certified UMN Extension Crow Wing County Master Gardeners will discuss subjects ranging from garden tools to gourds.

Master Gardeners are University of Minnesota-trained volunteers whose job is to educate the public about a variety of horticulture subjects. The Master Gardener Program educational effort is designed to enhance the public's quality of life and to promote good stewardship of the environment.
