The Minnesota Highway Safety Center has announced 55+ driver discount programs to be held virtually, including one eight-hour, first-time course and a four-hour refresher course.
- The eight-hour course will be from 5-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 7-8, online via Zoom.
- The four-hour course will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, also online via Zoom.
Participants must register at mnsafetycenter.org.
This program can save qualifying drivers 10% on their auto insurance. Completion of an eight-hour course qualifies drivers for the discount. A four-hour refresher course is required every three years.
A Minnesota Highway Safety & Research Center certified instructor will update participants on defensive-driving tips, changes in laws, vehicle technology and traffic safety.
