From 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb 8, the public is invited to Deep Portage Learning Center to watch a new documentary called “The Power of Minnesota” that tells the story of how clean energy is making local economies throughout the region stronger.

More than just a film screening, during this free event attendees will get to tour renewable energy installations at Deep Portage Learning Center - including solar, wind and biomass - to see how they can power their own lives with clean energy. There will also be time for conversation and networking, with snacks.

  • 2:30 p.m.: Renewable energy tour of Deep Portage Learning Center, including wood gasification, wind power and three types of solar systems - solar thermal (hot air), solar thermal (hot water), and solar energy (PV).
