WinterFest fills first weekend in February

Crosslake will host its annual WinterFest event Thursday-Saturday, Jan. 31-Feb. 2, with winter fun for the entire family.

Following is a schedule of events:

Thursday, Jan. 31

• 9 a.m.: Find the Lost Medallion. First of three daily clues will be released at local merchants and online at www.crosslake.com. Find the Lost Medallion and cash in on a prize package valued at more than $1,000, courtesy of chamber member businesses.

Friday, Feb. 1

• 9 a.m.: Find the Lost Medallion. The second of three daily clues will be released at local merchants and online at www.crosslake.com. Find the Lost Medallion and cash in on a prize package valued at more than $1,000, courtesy of chamber member businesses.

• 4-6 p.m.: Cabin Fever Carnival and open enrollment at Crosslake Community School featuring kids games, bake walk and food. Meet Bobber the Water Safety Dog.

• 6:30 p.m.: Meat raffle at Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion.

• 7-9 p.m.: Celebrate WinterFest at the Crosslake Community Center. Bring your skates and sleds for ice rink skating, snow mountain, bonfire and s'mores, horse-drawn sleigh rides, Crosslake fire trucks on display, games, warming house, hot apple cider, music with DJ "JP." WinterFest gear including sweatshirts, beer koozies and wristbands will be on sale.

• 8 p.m.: Trivia at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant.

• 8 p.m.-midnight: DJ Mike at Andy's Bar & Grill.

• 9 p.m.: Live music featuring Mike Miller at The Bourbon Room.

• 9 p.m.: Fireworks display.

• 10 p.m.-2 a.m.: Music featuring DJs JP & Dana at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

Saturday, Feb. 2

• 8-11:30 a.m.: Crosslake Firefighters Pancake Breakfast at Crosslake Lutheran Church.

• 8-11 a.m.: Stonehouse Coffee tasting at Lake Country Crafts & Cones.

• 9 a.m.: Find the Lost Medallion. Third and final clue will be released at local merchants and online at www.crosslake.com. Find the Lost Medallion and cash in on a prize package valued at more than $1,000, courtesy of chamber member businesses.

• 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: Craft & Vendor Show at Crosslake Community School; email ly679@brainerd.net for participation information.

• 11 a.m.: Tiki bar and beach bonfire at Manhattan Beach Lodge.

• 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Kids games at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

• 11 a.m.-dusk: Helicopter rides (weather permitting) at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

• Noon: 16th annual SoupFest competition begins and lasts until soup is gone.

Visit participating businesses offering soup samples and vote for your favorite. Trophies will be given for People's Culinary Choice, People's Amateur Choice and Overall Judges Choice (as chosen by representatives from the Ideal Sno Pros).

• Noon: Bocce ball tournament. All ages welcome at Riverside Saloon & Eatery.

• Noon-3 p.m.: Family Fun at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Campground featuring a bonfire, s'mores, coloring contest and water safety T-shirt color-ons.

• Noon-3 p.m.: Beer tasting featuring Lagunitas Brewing at Barstock Liquors.

• Noon-5 p.m.: Pond Hockey Classic at Crosslake Community Center ice rink. Email commctrevents@gmail.com for team registration information.

• 1 p.m.: Italian Outdoor Olympics at Maucieri's Italian Bistro.

• 1 p.m.: Bar Bingo (ages 18 and older) at Manhattan's.

• 1-4 p.m.: Radar runs and spinning ice carousel on the bay at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

• 1-5 p.m.: Karaoke with Paul & Lisa at Riverside Saloon & Eatery.

• 1:30 p.m.: Bar bingo Crosslake-Fifty Lakes American Legion.

• 3 p.m.: Electronic horse racing on the big screen (cash payouts) at The Bourbon Room.

• 3-7 p.m.: All day bonfire and live music featuring The Mark Peterson Band at The Wharf.

• 3:30-6:30 p.m.: Live music featuring Andy Fischer at Manhattan's.

• 4-8 p.m.: Live music featuring Mark Johnson & Dillon Raph at The Cedar Chest.

• 7 p.m.: Live music featuring the Lisa Wenger Band at Maucieri's Italian Bistro.

• 7-9 p.m.: Live music featuring Tangled Chords at 14 Lakes Craft Brewing.

• 8 p.m.-midnight: DJ Mike at Andy's Bar & Grill.

• 8 p.m.-close: DJ Paul at The Wharf.

• 9 p.m.: Live music featuring Soup Bones at The Bourbon Room.

• 10 p.m.-2 a.m.: DJs JP & Dana at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.
