It was a fun-filled day from morning to night Saturday, Aug. 3, in Pequot Lakes.

The Pequot Lakes-Breezy Point Lions Club hosted its 12th annual Chokecherry Festival in Trailside Park, featuring kids games, the backseat driver game for adults, pit-spitting contest and culinary contest featuring recipes made with chokecherries.

The event also featured an arts and crafts fair along with food vendors along the Paul Bunyan Trail.

The 10th annual Pet Pageant & Carnival moved from June to August and was held Aug. 3 as well.

Pequot Lakes’ third annual street dance moved to Patriot Avenue, between Trailside and Bobber parks, and again featured the band Wyld Ryce.
