The Clamshell-Bertha Lakes Association's annual meeting and brunch will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at the Ideal Township Community Center.

Board members will provide egg dishes, fruit, pastries, juice and coffee. The presenter will be Mike Verhoeven, a graduate student at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center who is working toward a Ph.D. in conservation science with a focus on fisheries and aquatic biology.

Verhoeven's research focuses on ecology and management of aquatic invasive plants.

If not already a member, or for people who haven't renewed memberships yet, the dues are $20 per family to support CBLA's commitment to fostering the long-term health of lakes and land for future generations.
