From Mission Township to Nisswa, and Pequot Lakes to Crosslake, area communities celebrated the Fourth of July long weekend with parades and fireworks, food and music, and perfect weather.

Kiddie Parade winners:
Best overall: Maija Maher.
Best theme: Brynnly Dettmann, Ariya Luekbe, Kieley Ruppert.
Most Patriotic: Audrey, Julia and Grant Sheridan.
Corn Hole tournament winners:
First: Larry Hoff, of Hutchinson, and Magic Wait, of St. Cloud.
Second: Corey Haugen and Tracy Muller, both of Wahpeton, North Dakota.
Third: Joel Trosdahl, of Pequot Lakes, and Mark Wassermann, of Breezy Point.
Bed race winners:
First: Village Idiots, including Peter, Chris, Alex, Jess and Katie, from the Twin Cities.
Second: Locals, including Jayden, Tyler, Brody, Myca and Jordan.
