Crosslake Winterfest a scrumptious, musical time


Crosslake will be lively Jan. 30-Feb. 1 with old fashioned winter fun for any age. The events kick off Jan. 30 with the release of the first clue to find the hidden Winterfest Medallion worth hundreds of dollars of prizes donated by Crosslake Chamber of Commerce member businesses. Friday will feature outdoor events at Crosslake Community Center including ice skating, sledding, horse drawn sleigh rides and fireworks. Events throughout the rest of the weekend are as follows:

Thursday, Jan. 30:

9 a.m.: First medallion clue released at local merchants.

Friday, Jan. 31:

9 a.m.: Second medallion clue released at local merchants.

4-6 p.m. Cabin fever carnival open enrollment at Crosslake Community School. Event features kids games, a bake walk, food and fun.

6:30 p.m.: Meat raffle at Crosslake Fifty Lakes American Legion.


7-9 p.m.: Winterfest Celebration at the community center featuring ice rink skating, snow mountain, bonfire and s’mores, horse drawn sleigh rides, crosslake fire truck displays, hot apple cider, music with a dj and winterfest gear on sale.

7 p.m.-1 a.m.: Music by DJ Mike at Andy’s Bar and Grill.

8 p.m.: Trivia at Moonlite Bay Family Restuarant.

10 p.m.-2 p.m.: Music featuring DJ’s JP and Dana at Moonlite Bay family Restaurant and Bar.

9 p.m.: Fireworks at the community center.

Saturday, Feb. 1:

8-11 a.m.: Stonehouse coffee Tasting at Lake Country Crafts and Cones.

8-11:30 a.m.: Crosslake firefighters pancake breakfast at Crosslake Lutheran Church.

9 a.m.: Third and final clue is available at area merchants.


9 a.m.- 3 p.m.: Craft and vendor show at Crosslake Community School. Email for participation information.

11 a.m.: Tiki Bar and Beach Bonfire at Manhattan Beach Lodge.

11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Taco and Nacho Bar at Manhattan Beach Lodge.

11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Kids games at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

11 a.m.-Dusk: Hellicopter rides (weather permitting) from Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

Noon: 17th Annual Soupfest competition begins until the soup is gone. Visit participating businesses offering soup samples and vote for your favorite. Trophies are given for people’s culinary choice, people’s amateur choice and overall judge’s choice.

Noon: Bocce ball tournament, all ages welcome, at Riverside Saloon and Eatery.

Noon-3 p.m.: Family Fun at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Campground with kids games, a bonfire, s’mores and water safety t-shirts.


Noon-5 p.m.: annual Pond Hockey classic at Crosslake Community Center Ice Rink. Email for team registration information.

1 p.m.: Italian Outdoor Olympics at Maucieris Italian Bistro.

1 p.m.: Bar bingo at Manhattan’s.

1-4 p.m.: Radar runs and a spinning ice carousel on the bay (weather permitting) at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.

1-5 p.m. Karaoke with Paul and Lisa at Riverside Saloon and Eatery.

1:30 p.m.: Bar Bingo at Crosslake Fifty Lakes American Legion.

2 p.m.: $500 mega meat raffle at The Bourbon Room.

2-4 p.m.: Live music by Andy Fischer at Manhattan Beach Lodge.

2-6 p.m.: Live music by Dylan Raph and Mark Johnson at The Cedar Chest.

4:30 p.m.: Seafood Raffle at Andy’s Bar & Grill.

5 p.m.: Live music at the Bourbon Room.

7 p.m.-1 a.m.: Music by DJ Mike at Andy’s Bar & Grill.

8 p.m.: Music featuring DJ Blackhouse and All Day Bonfire at The Wharf.

10 p.m.-2 a.m.: Music Featuring Dj’s JP and Dana at Moonlite Bay Family Restaurant & Bar.
