The Crosslake Ideal Lions Club will resume its annual fishing contest. This year it will be in memory of Bob Ayd and Joe Doerfler, who initiated this event many years ago as a Lions club charity event.

Those interested in participating in this tournament should contact Donna Leagjeld at 218-820-3717. There is $8,750 in prize money.

The club's annual flea market is back at Crosslake Town Square on Saturdays, June 19, July 17, Aug. 21 and Sept. 25.

The Crosslake Ideal Lions will also sponsor Music in the Park at Town Square in Crosslake. This event will be held every Saturday evening, June 26 through Aug. 28.

Recent donation requests were approved in May for the Cuyuna Scout Camp, Wounded Warriors Camp, Pequot Lakes trap shooting team, and the Pequot Lake Baccalaureate program for high school seniors. These funds are made available through club fundraising events and local gambling sites at Mission Tavern, Moonlite Bay, Riverside Inn, Maucieri’s, The Wharf and Pequot Pub.
