CLC Performing Arts Center to present ‘Movies Under the Stars’

The Central Lakes College Performing Arts Center will present a unique series, “Movies Under the Stars,” where guests can watch a series of blockbuster movies on the college south lawn via a new 25-foot inflatable movie screen.

The series will premiere four movies on the following dates with an anticipated 8:45 p.m. start time each evening:

  • Friday, Aug. 14.
  • Saturday, Aug. 15.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 19.
  • Thursday, Aug. 20.

Tickets are $5 per person and will be sold at the outdoor ticket tent next to the south lawn, Brainerd campus, beginning at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Cash or check only, no credit cards.

Attendees should bring a lawn chair or blanket and flashlight if needed. Light snacks, beverages and masks will be available. No large coolers, large bags or glass containers will be allowed. No alcohol or tobacco are allowed on college grounds.

Portable toilets will be available on site. The only animals permitted are service animals.

Nancy Vogt is editor of the Pineandlakes Echo Journal, a weekly newspaper that covers eight communities in the Pequot Lakes-Pine River areas - from Nisswa to Hackensack and Pequot Lakes to Crosslake.
