Pine River United Methodist Church held its annual Kid's Shop Day on Saturday, Dec. 2, where children had the opportunity to select gifts for friends and family and participate in the gift-giving spirit of the season.
The church pews were filled with families waiting their turns to select from a variety of toys, trinkets and gifts for any member of the family.
Without a budget of their own, these children don't always have the opportunity to join the rest of the family to give gifts. The annual shop day allows them to see the eyes of their family members when they open gifts specifically chosen for them.
